profile-full-frostThis frost is designed to slow and control large areas of a map. It utilizes high duration, quick casting and high range to cover massive areas with ice.  This build is great against Infested, slowing them to a crawl while you destroy them.

This build has no remaining slots, but 5 extra points to upgrade the existing mods, or swap in alternatives.

  • Rejuvenation – Increases your mod points. You can swap this out with Physique if you prefer it.
  • Overextended/Stretch – Maximize range for all abilities.
  • Streamline – Reduces ability casting cost.
  • Continuity/Narrow Minded – Increases duration to allow you to keep enemies slowed or frozen longer.
  • Chilling Globe/Ice Wave Impedance – Maximize Frost’s ability to CC enemies.
  • Natural Talent – Reduces cast time to get CC out quicker, especially helpful for Avalanche.

  • Energy Siphon/Corrosive Projection – Switch your auras to synergize with the build better, or assist your team more.
  • Flow – Can be taken in place of Chilling Globe if the lack of energy is taking a toll on you.
  • Primed Mods – Offer greater benefits over non-primed Variants. Extra points do allow you to fit in Primed Continuity, which greatly empowers the build.
  • Constitution – Sacrifices Chilling globe for longer freeze times

Ability Breakdown

ability_icons_frost_freeze Freeze: 17.5 energy cost. 140 Cold damage, with a 100% chance to freeze target solid for 34 seconds. Creates patch of ice around point of impact that slows enemies, this lasts 27.5 seconds.
ability_icons_frost_frost_wave Ice Wave: 35 energy cost. 280 Cold damage. Wave is 5.1m wide and 33.8m in length.

Ice Wave Impedance – Leaves a slowing patch of ice for 27.5 seconds over area affected by this ability.

ability_icons_frost_snow_globe Snow Globe: 35 energy cost. Shields 8.4m radius from 2,350 damage and provides a 67% slow to enemies inside. Note: Globe will also gain any taken damage in the first  seconds as additional health.

Chilling Globe – 50% chance to freeze enemies in range of globe or that come in contact with the globe.

ability_icons_frost_avalanche Avalanche: 65 energy cost. 600 cold damage and 2.3 second freeze to a 25.3m radius.

Pros

  • Amazing amounts of Crowd Control.
  • Relatively low casting costs.
  • Natural Talent allows you to cast much quicker, allowing you to get CC out quickly when needed.

Cons

  • Small energy pool.
  • Weaker than usual globe, shouldn’t be relied upon for Defence, outside of Infested.
  • Low damage output from abilities
